Woodland Hills Sanitary District

April 2019 Minutes

 

The April meeting of the Woodland Hills Sanitary District was called to order at 6:34pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

 

Roll Call: President Bobby Sadler established that a quorum existed to conduct the meeting.  In attendance were Lois Lund, Ed Striebel and board members Jim Stewart and Beth Haivala.  Garry Colasardo and John Knight did not attend.

 

Adoption of Agenda: Bobby presented the agenda to the board and it was unanimously adopted.

 

Secretary’s Report: The March minutes were reviewed.  Bobby made a motion to approve the minutes, 2nd by Beth and the vote was 3-0 to approve.

 

Income Report: Net income for March $3,695.   There were no late payments!

 

Water Report:   Water losses for March were 17.5%.  All quiet on the water front.

 

The resident who had a frozen service line got a new meter since their old meter had quit working. 

 

Road Report:  The road account received a tax deposit of $302.  The repairs to the Chickadee Corner and three other locations are scheduled to take place when the weather cooperates and it appears the weather is going to shape up nicely.

 

Old Business:  None

New Business: The lock on the building between the Lark Lane tanks is very difficult to open.  Bobby made a motion to replace it.  Beth 2nd the motion.  The vote was 3-0.  Jim will call Harvey Lock and have them replace it.

 

Election time is approaching.  Jim prepared a schedule of events for the notices and petition deadlines with the election date of July 9.   It will be posted on the website.

 

 

Board member comments:  Jim noted that the canoe and camper trailer parked near pump house #1 has been moved away.

 

 Resident comments:  none 

 

The board adjourned the meeting at 7:00pm.
