Woodland Hills Sanitary District

December 2016 Minutes

The December meeting of the Woodland Hills Sanitary District was called to order at 6:34PM. In attendance were:  Randy Alexander, Evan Hutchings, Carol Crozman, Beth Haivala, Bobby Sadler, Ed Striebel and Lois Lund.

Secretary’s Report:  Randy asked if everyone had received and read the November minutes. There were no changes to be made. Evan made a motion to to approve the minutes, seconded by Bobby and approved 5-0.

Income Report:  Total water income for November was $8568.52. We had a net loss of $3606.43. The bill for painting the green tanks on Lark was $9840.00, which was paid this month. All other expenses were normal. Beth made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Carol and approved 5-0.

Water and Project Report:  Ed reported that our water losses were at 5.5%.  The cost for a new meter for the Wellhouse is $972 (Omni brand). He wants to get pricing on another brand (Turbin) that might be a little better priced. He will bring that price for the board in January.

He and Randy are also checking on locks for the water tanks. They want to make sure that one key fits all of the locks.  The #1 pump ran for a couple of weeks in November and is running good! The Scada system is up and running. Ed can access this via an app on his phone or his laptop. They are still working on a few things.

The Project is finished!

Randy made a motion to approve the Water and Project Report, seconded by Bobby and approved 5-0.

Road Report:  There was $1669.01 deposited into our account. The crack/seal has been done and paid for.

Old Business:  Evan will make Insurance updates on the tanks and the new building. Total tank replacement value (green tanks) would be around $77,000.

New Business:  Randy will check on replacing the heater in the meeting hall. The current heater is not heating the building very efficiently. He will have pricing at the January meeting.
