Woodland Hills Sanitary District

December 2017 Minutes

 

The December meeting of the Woodland Hills Sanitary District was called to order at 6:35PM.

 

Roll Call: President Bobby Sadler established that a quorum existed to conduct the meeting.  In attendance were Bobby Sadler, Evan Hutchings, Garry Colasardo, Jim Stewart, Ed Striebel, and Lois Lund.  

 

Adoption of Agenda: Bobby presented the agenda to the board. 

 

Secretary’s Report: The November minutes were reviewed.  A couple of changes were noted.  One is the number of meters available for sale is 45 (not 85).  Second was a typo in the discussion of the road sander.  Discussion decided should read discussion to decide.  Jim made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Bobby and the vote to approve was 4-0.

 

Income Report: Total income for November was $7,633 which includes the special loan assessments. 

 

Water Report:   Water losses for October were 7.7 percent.

 

Dakota Pump is proceeding with the SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system upgrade and the project is about 33 percent complete.

 

Garry made a motion to accept the water report.  Bobby seconded and the motion carried by a 4-0 vote.

 

Road Report:  Garry moved the sand spreader to his home and cleaned it up.    The board purchased the spreader in January, 2011 for $2100 and it has not been used.  Evan made a motion to list it for sale.  Garry seconded the motion and it was approved by a 4-0 vote.   Jim will list the spreader on Craig's List and the asking price was set at $1500.

New Business:  None.

 

Resident Comments:  Bruce Heying asked about tree removal on his lot and inquired about the process for construction of a larger garage.
