Woodland Hills Sanitary District

May 2017 Minutes

The May meeting of the Woodland Hills Sanitary District was called to order at 6:35PM. In attendance were Evan Hutchings, Carol Crozman, Beth Haivala, Ed Striebel and Lois Lund. Randy Alexander and Bobby Sadler were absent.

Secretary’s Report: Evan asked if everyone had received and read the April minutes. There were no changes to be made. Evan made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Carol and approved 3-0.

Income Report: Total income for April was $7258.97. Net income after expenses was $4619.88. There were no unusual expenses for the month.

All accounts have been paid in full from February and March.

The board voted on paying Invoice #52245 from AE2S. The vote count was 3-0 in favor of being paid.

Beth made a motion to approve the income report, seconded by Carol and approved 3-0.

Water Report: Ed reported that the water losses this month were 9.5%. Ed had told us last month that he would run the #1 Pump this month. But because of high water usage, he decided to wait in case there was a leak reported somewhere. He figured, though, because of the warm weather that there were people watering more than usual for this time of year.

The leak at the #2 Pumphouse is getting worse. Ed has been in contact with Brandon, who said he will look at it on Friday, May 12.

Lois reported that there is a meter post laying on the ground at the Bleeker residence.

A mailing of the drinking water report has been sent out.

Carol made a motion to approve the water report, seconded by Beth and approved 3-0.

Road Report: There was a tax deposit made into the roads account in the amount to $481.01.

Old Business:  An insurance check has been received for the #2 Pumphouse in the amount of $2176.

The Sanitary District budget still needs to be sent to the state. Carol will talk to Randy about this.

Petitions for the three open positions on the board will be available through Carol Crozman and may begin circulating on May 25. They must be returned to Carol Crozman by June 23.  The election will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 if there are at least 4 people running for positions. There will be a newsletter put in the water payment mailbox.
