WOODLAND HILLS SANITARY DISTRICT MEETING

January 9, 2013

The meeting began at 6:34pm and was held at the Lark Lane meeting hall. Attending were Jim Stewart, Evan Hutchings, Randy Alexander and Lois Lund.

Secretary's Report: Jim read the minutes from the December meeting. They were flawless.

Evan motioned to accept the minutes with a 2nd by Randy.

Income Statement: Income was plus $3,148 only because bills for the leak repaired in December had not yet arrived.

Jim motioned to accept the statement with a 2nd by Randy.

Water Report: Ed had called Jim to relay the highlights of the water report. Water loss for December was 70 percent but since the leaks have been repaired pump hours and gallons pumped are near previous normal levels. Things have greatly improved with the repairs.

Jim motioned to accept the water report with a 2nd by Randy.

Old Business: Randy will pursue, for the district, a South Dakota sales tax exemption certificate. As a government entity the WHSD is exempt from sales taxes on purchases from contractors or contracts making purchases on the district's behalf.

The trustees approved the purchase of liability insurance for the roads in the district.

New Business: The trustees are adapting the old community association 1994 water policy for use by the district. Jim typed up the multi-page paper document into a Word document. A review of the document found some typos and formatting errors which Jim will correct and present at the February meeting for final approval and placement on the web site.

The board received a letter from Renner and Associates advising of a proposed boundary change between lots owned by Jeff Ulvestad and Bobby Hall. No action was required by the trustees.

The next trustees meeting will be held February 13, 2013.
