WOODLAND HILLS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING

March 7, 2012

The meeting began at 6:30pm and was held at the Lark Lane meeting hall. Attending were Randy Alexander, Jim Stewart, Kathy Colasardo, Carol Crozman, Dick Helmstetter, Lois Lund, and Ed Streibel.

Secretary's Report: Jim read the minutes from the February meeting and Carol noted that her name has been omitted from the attendees. So the secretary fixed that error. Kathy motioned to accept the revised minutes with a 2^nd by Carol.

Income Statement: We have about 27K on hand. Dick motioned to accept the income report with a 2^nd by Jim.

Water Report: With the repair on Lark Lane completed the water losses were down to 23 percent. Ed noted that during the Lark Lane leak hunt a very slight leak was detected on Nuthatch but it’s not nearly large enough to warrant chasing it down at this time. If funds permit Ed would like to have some finishing dirt work performed around the new pump vault by pump house number one.

Dick motioned to accept the water report with a 2^nd by Jim.

Old Business: Dick mentioned that the board should become familiar with the sanitary district election process. Jim mentioned the process is described on the South Dakota state codified law web site and would send the info to Dick. Dick also wanted to distribute a newsletter letting residents know if they wish to vote in an election for the sanitary district that they their voter registration have a Woodland Hills address.

Jim clarified the signature issue that said the names on our petition should match closely the name on the voter registration card. Ie. If registered as James then don’t use Jim on the petition. Don’t use nicknames but leaving out middle initials is OK.

New Business: April 24 was selected for the data of the WHCA annual meeting..

The next meeting will be held April 11 at 6:30pm. This meeting was adjourned at 7:25pm.
