WOODLAND HILLS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING
Jiune 15, 2011
The meeting began at 6:35pm. Attending were Randy Alexander, Jim Stewart, Dick Helmstetter, Kathy Colasardo, Carol Crozman
Secretary's
Report: Jim read the minutes from the May meeting.
After correcting a typo Dick motioned to accept the minutes with a 2nd
by Kathy.
Income
Statement: There was another month with income, $2900 in
May and everyone paid on time! Jim
motioned to accept the income statement with a 2nd by Randy.
Water Report: Ed replaced a
broken valve in pump house #1. The
valve probably caused the main pump to run dry and the pump might need
repair. Ed suggested that the board
authorize the purchase of a similar suction pump so that if repairs are needed
the pump house need not be offline during the repair. The board agreed with the suggestion.
The tanks on Lark Lane overflowed a couple of
times and Ed came up several times to adjust the transducer. The transducer might be detecting a leak or
just needed adjusting after an extended period of trouble-free operation.
Water losses for the month remained steady at
26 percent.
Old Business: Dick
Helmstetter prepared a budget that will become part of the water system loan
application to the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural
Resources. Dick averaged the last three
years of expenses and added 3 percent for a projected budget.
New Business: Randy will
inquire about patching the trench on Woodland Drive near Tanager Lane.
The next meeting
will be held July 6. This meeting was
adjourned at 7:02pm
Submitted by Jim
Stewart, Recording Secretary.
