BOARD MEETING MINUTES for Oct 17, 2006

President Jim Stewart brought the meeting to order at 6:30pm. Attending were Jim, Kathy Colasardo, Ev Hutchings, Gary Hansen, Lois Lund & Ed Streibel.

Secretary’s Report

Kathy read the minutes from Sept’s meeting. A motion to accept by Ev, 2^nd by Gary. Minutes passed.

Income Statement

Dain Rauscher fee of $100 will be questioned – never been charged a service fee before. Gary made a motion to accept, Jim 2^nd.

Water System Report

Ed & Ev did an inventory of our equipment & buildings for insurance purposes. Water losses at 32%. Nothing else to report. Jim motioned to accept, 2^nd by Gary.

Old Business

Jaycox issue is pending.

New Business

A meter replacement program was discussed. Jim researched websites on various water policies & meter problems. Meters last between 15-20 years at the most. Ev made a motion to accept a meter replacement program at 12 a year starting with the older homes. Kathy 2^nd. The vote passed 4-0. Ev handed out paperwork of the renewed insurance policy with the updated numbers. The last time this was done was 5 years ago. The new rate is approx $152 more a year. Jim made a motion to accept the new numbers & Gary 2^nd, vote passed 4-0. This will go into effect 11/16/06. We should get an electrician and/or a plumber to give us an estimate of what their replacement labor cost would be in case of damages due to a fire for example.
